April 30, 2006 -last day of the month

Ho hum, April is ending and spring is here. At least it's supposed to be. It still gets into the 30s at night. 70s during the day and cold at night. My naturally curly hair is so frizzy it's stupid. Oh well.

I was perusing the web and it looks like there is no "official" Tori Amos fanlisting. Perish the thought! I looked into what it takes to be officially recognized by the thefanlistings.org and it would require a manual or php database and...I'm not going to do it. *gasp* I think php does wonderful things but I need a book "PHP For Dummies" or something. Oy. I set up a plugboard for my hostee (who is awesome, btw) and it had me pulling out my hair. It didn't help that I had been online almost 19 hours as sleep continues to elude me. But I was stubborn and now we both have cool plugboards. Yay me.

I realize I haven't mentioned Jeremy for awhile, it's really painful to think of him. We still write each other several times a month and his attorney filed papers again for an early release, but nothing has changed. He's changing, I can see it in his letters and it makes me frantic. I want the son I had before this disaster happened. Sometimes I wonder if he'll ever come home. He sent papers for me to fill out to come see him...oh, give me strength. That will be one of the hardest things I've ever done, but of course I'll go see him. He didn't want me to before but since it's been a year today that he's been in there, he really wants to see me. It's a 3 hour drive so it will be an all day thing. I know I'll sob my heart out afterwards, but you'll have that.

This week should be busy as it's payday tomorrow, so maybe I'll have something new and exciting to blog about instead of just my opinion on life, love and the pursuit of happiness. Yeah, right. I live in a tiny town where nothing ever happens...if the mayor takes a core dump, it's in the paper. Seriously, we don't even have a street fair anymore. I am going to the library and I'm getting at least 6 books to read. If I like a book I can read it in a day. I've read every book in my house at least 3 times, and I have many. Anyway, I hope you all have a good week. Stay safe.

April 28, 2006 -time to blog

Oh my. I have been one busy little editor. I made another plug site Family Plugs (stop laughing) and it drove me bananas!
I used 2 different scripts, one from plug-board.com and a new php script from Lissa Explains. I do not understand php, I try so hard to learn it but it's so different from html. Oy. That plugboard is hosted on my server which is nice but it took 6 installs and 3 hours before I figured out what I was doing. No rest for the wicked. heh

April 25, 2006 -thoughts

Greetings kittens. I'm finally getting tired just as a lot of you are waking up. I'm so nocturnal.

President Bush is giving a speech today, he's going to address high gas prices among other things. As I watch my working class friends struggling to pay at the pump or going without food so they have the money for gas all week so they can get more money to buy less food...I get sad and infuriated. This country has a lot of problems, and I wonder what it's going to take to fix them. Pedophiles have their own web sites in bright cutesy colors, gas prices are through the roof, Wal-Mart is driving mom-and-pop stores out of business, the working class is being sucked dry of money with nothing to show for it, parents are killing their kids, the economy sucks, we are still in Iraq...this country is a mess. When Bush does speak, is he really committed to lowering the price of gas or is it all talk and no guts? I lost faith in politicians years ago. And even if I still had faith, I wouldn't entrust it to Bush. It almost makes me laugh when people gripe about him, but we re-elected him, didn't we? Huh? What was that about?!

Dateline has a new show this Wednesday, April 26, 8 p.m.: "To Catch a Predator IV". Great for the country's awareness, bad that there has to be a fourth segment. And a fifth, and a sixth, etc. Watch the show with your kids, talk it over as a family, this problem of internet predators is not going to go away. Knowledge is power, and power to the people, right?

[adjective]:

Benevolent to a fault

'How will you be defined in the dictionary?' at QuizGalaxy.com

I'm so distressed. My best online friend, my "sis" Liza Marie, or Lizzy-Poo as I call her affectionately, has found a lump in her breast. She's having minor surgery next Monday. The lump was caused by hormones her doctor was giving her for three fibroyd tumors, plus an enlarged uterus. Any surgery is scary and my heart goes out to her. She has been my "through thick and thin" friend for a few years now, she knows things about me that no one else does and she keeps all my secrets. She always has something uplifting or encouraging to say, she sends me ecards and just listens, as a best friend does. I love her dearly and I don't want anything bad to happen to her! I will be keeping her in my thoughts this week and especially Monday. I wish I could be there to hold her hand and take care of her if necessary. I love you heaps Lizzy-Poo! *sends her oodles of hugs*

I'm moving Rahja up here from a previous post because I love to play with him.

April 15, 2006 -another site??

Okay, yes I made another list for blogs. The reason I make so many is because often I can't find what I'm looking for. Examples: there was no LOTR button rotation so I made one, no Diego Luna webring, hardly any toplists for bloggers so I made some, etc. I also have lots of web space to fill up and I'm very creative. :P I won't provide the link to the new site yet as I have much work to do on the layout. Also you may notice at heart-stricken.net I only list 38 sites (soon to be 39). I don't list these 2 sites, Structured Chaos and Crime Blogs Toplist there as I want my collective to be family friendly. I will always have all my sites listed here so you and I can keep track of them. :P

I hope you are all having a nice weekend.

April 14, 2006 -why can't I sleep?

As usual the neighborhood is asleep and I am awake. I sat at the window looking out at the night and I saw a few stray cats, no cars. I've always been a night owl, but even owls sleep sometime. Oy.

I am taking a mini break from true crime, it's enough to make one paranoid. I've been updating my many sites and playing with fun things I find online.

I found a site I've been checking out for the last couple days. I'm Afraid of Americans.

From the site:"This clique is for any person, doesn't matter what country your from. You don't have to be American to join.
This clique is for people who are the following: tired of the political gain George W bush and other politicians have gained from 9/11, people who are tired of the sudden flag waving "if there such patriots why weren't they like this before?", American people who blindly follow the president (I'm sure afraid of those kinds of people), for people who are tired of hearing about violence in Iraq and more dead troops, people who are tired of the fakeness and deception, for people who wish Americans would think and question things instead of trusting everyone and doing what someone tells them to do, for people who hate Tony Blair, George W Bush, John Ashcroft and all the bullshit they've caused, for people who think America is overrated, for people who are sometimes embarrased to be called American, people who are sick of chicken hawks, people who aren't patriotic and feel like there being forced to be, things like that. I wouldnt call this an anti-America clique, but an anti-American clique!"

I think America would be better served if this person did something else with their time and energy. Becoming active and fighting pedophilia, crime, injustice, those sort of things. But that is just my humble opinion.

P.S. In regards to the pedophile urls I posted, here is something you can do:

A bunch of us true crime bloggers are flagging these sites for Google, and they have been reported to the FBI and various LE agencies and Bill O'Reilly. Unfortunately, thoughts and fantasies are protected by free speech. As long as they don't talk about an actual molestation, there is not much we can do. Yet. We're working on this. That vile Paiderastia site has removed a bunch of entries since people have publicized the url. If you can stand to go there, look in the toolbar at the very top and click "Flag". This lets Blogger and Google know a site has questionable content and they will decide if they will delete it. We can only hope and keep fighting this menace.
Since posting these sites, I found a bunch more. It's disgusting.

April 12, 2006 -pedophile sites

Normally I only post things like this at my true crime blog, but parents need to know what they and their children are up against. This is a horribly unpleasant subject, but it must be addressed.

I have found 3 pedophile sites online and I'm providing the links.

Sugar and Spice
"Welcome to the site for all young girls who want to learn more about love and about people called girllovers."
This is a site made by a pedophile to groom YOUR little girls into believing that sex with adults is a good thing and beautiful.

Puellula - A Celebration of the Splendor of Little Girls
(run your cursor over the left picture of the little girl and see what it says.)

"Paiderastia" The Boy Love Revival
"Pederasty, as idealized by the ancient Greeks, was a relationship and bond between an adolescent boy and an adult man outside of HIS immediate family. This is modernized in today's culture as gender neutral by a relationship and bond between an adolescent child and an adult outside of their immediate family. In a wider sense this refers to erotic/mentor/spiritual love between adolescents and adults. Building Bridges!"

=================

It doesn't matter to me if they have a "Code of Ethics" or if they profess love and happiness and pretty little daisies, it is illegal for an adult to touch, molest, fondle, or have sex with a minor in this country. It galls me that they use phrases like "coming out" or quote Martin Luther King Jr. to spread their mantra. If pedophilia ever becomes legal in this country, I'm leaving. I hope to god people don't allow these mutants to become a legitimate force in this country. As the mother of a molested child, I know first hand the confusion, horror and shame these mutants can inflict on kids. And don't give me that "Oh, true boy/girl lovers would NEVER hurt a child" crap. My child was groomed and then molested and raped by a "nice" man, my ex-best friend's husband, who had 2 sons of his own and sat in the same pew at church with us. My child was in counseling 2 years because of that fiend. So the arguement of "not hurting but loving" a child is BS! I went after that mutant with a baseball bat. Nothing they can say will EVER make me change my mind about them. They are a scourge of our children's innocence no matter how they try to make others perceive them.

Freedom of speech may be just too much of a good thing. When pedophiles and criminals hide behind it, it's an abuse of what our founding fathers envisioned.

April 11, 2006 -Blogthings

Your Ideal Relationship is Friends Only
Honestly, you're not really ready for a relationship right now.
And you prefer to keep things platonic, for now.
That's not to say that one of your friends could be dating material.
You're just taking a break for now.

You Are a Seeker Soul
You are on a quest for knowledge and life challenges.
You love to be curious and ask a ton of questions.
Since you know so much, you make for an interesting conversationalist.
Mentally alert, you can outwit almost anyone (and have fun doing it!).

Very introspective, you can be silently critical of others.
And your quiet nature makes it difficult for people to get to know you.
You see yourself as a philosopher, and you take everything philosophically.
Your main talent is expressing and communicating ideas.

Souls you are most compatible with: Hunter Soul and Visionary Soul

Your Theme Song is Back in Black by AC/DC
"Back in black, I hit the sack,
I've been too long, I'm glad to be back"

Things sometimes get really crazy for you, and sometimes you have to get away from all the chaos.
But each time you stage your comeback, it's even better than the last!

April 09, 2006 -I'm home again

Greetings halflings! I was gone all weekend as the Puppy Couple needed me to house sit again. They had to go to a funeral and then Detroit. I watched oodles of movies and played with all the animals.

Jeremy wrote again, he says his attorney is filing another release motion this month, I certainly hope the judge grants it this time. This 'hurry up & wait' is so tedious.

I hope everyone had a good weekend and I hope you have a good week. Stay safe!

April 04, 2006 -home sweet home

I was needed to house sit for the weekend (family emergency) so I've been away until today. I am getting all my voting links caught up and organized. I changed 2 layouts, more will happen I'm sure.

I bought 2 new films this month Hitch and Corpse Bride. I also bought this magnificent sculpture of 2 dragons on a castle that uses lights & fiber optics. The kaledioscope of colors through the wings and dragon's breath is glorious. It's over 2 feet tall and I love it. I bought it instead of cigarettes. I have cut down, but I find if I have no money, I don't crave them. Maybe someday I can quit for good. I'd really like to. This shimmery purchase was worth every penny. :P

I saw the film Rent on dvd where I was house sitting and I was blown away. If you haven't seen it, go. Now. Or rent it. There are so many layers to the characters and their situations that the film broke my heart, made me laugh and then made me sob. (3 times.) That's what entertainment is supposed to do! I highly recommend it, it shows many misfits who for whatever reason can't funtion in mainstream society, so they become Bohemians In NYC in the '80s. Starving disease ridden addicts/artists. It's moving, heart-breaking and so beautiful at portraying unconditional love which is something each of us wishes deep down we had. It shows how society treats the misfits of this country and makes you think about how you feel about them. Sometimes the answers aren't very comfortable.

I'll be around, I still have to go through my email and then check out all my true crime and buddies blogs. Have a good week kittens and stay safe. xoxo
