Aug. 29, 2007 - this is very accurate

Found at Diane's Journal

Your Life Path Number is 4
Your purpose in life is to build your vision.

You are practical and responsible. You work hard, knowing that there are no shortcuts in life.
You work for a better life for yourself and those you love, but you are not an idealist.
Trustworthy and honest, you also demonstrate great courage. People can count on you.

In love, you are a loyal and committed partner. You are the ideal spouse.

You don't give up easily, and sometimes you can be too stubborn and unwilling to change.
You also can be too conservative at times. You sometime miss out on good opportunities.
Also remember that not everyone can work as hard as you, as disappointing as that is!

Stay safe kittens. xoxo

Aug. 26, 2007 - ok, so I changed the layout again

I love the witchy one, but this fits my state of mind better. *sigh of bliss*

I had my new birds in the kitchen (see previous post), but I moved them into my room as my apt is an oven with the only A/C in my room. Humidity is at 100% with temps in the 90s. I saw on the news last night that people are dying from this heat. I believe it. If my girls hadn't given me my A/C, I wonder if I'd be sick or dead. Eep.

I will be babysitting my great niece-in-law for about 5 hours on Thursday this week at my daughter's home. She has central air and a pool, so we'll be okay. Gad, it's even hard to breathe, the humidity sucks the life right out of you here in the heartland of Ohio. Oy.

Have a good weekend. Be safe kittens. xoxo

Aug. 22, 2007 - I am so blessed

Greetings kittens. Wow. My karma is so good right now. Everyone I love is part of my life now and it is wonderful and humbling. Mike and I are a team, we are one, we are together. Emma was here Sat. night and I read her Tarot cards and it was a really good reading. I don't think I've ever mentioned I've been reading them since I was 23 or so. It's a gift or a curse. lol I get to see my youngest daughter tomorrow morning and I have so much to tell her. =)

Guess what! I am so excited. My new neighbors next door Wes & Susie gave me a breeding pair of cockatiels, cage, supplies and all! There are 8 eggs in the nest. Do you have any idea how much money I can make selling hand fed, tame baby birds? Lots! I used to do it years ago so I know exactly how, I have the time and patience and I love my new birds! I named them Tristan & Isolde after the medieval legend. heh

Grrr, my pc is being wonky, Mike fixed it so it only crashes once instead of twelve times when I start it, but it's really bugging me. I need to take it to the shop and say "fix it." My D drive doesn't work, so it has to be fixed by someone who can save my desktop files first. I have 40 sites and other things I don't want to lose. I could download my online sites from my servers, but I have other sites not online that I don't want destroyed. Eeep. Mike visits for a couple of days once a week, so I'll just have him run me into Salem to the pc store and then I'll worry about paying the bill. lol Always something, I swear.

I wish all of my friends inner peace, love and contentment. Be safe kittens. xoxo

Aug. 17, 2007 - oh my goodness me

Greetings! Those of you who have read my blog over the years might remember that I was in love with someone a long time ago. We broke up for a few reasons, amicably. Well 8 years later...we are back together. Wo0t! My Beloved Mike is back in my life. He lives with his grandma and takes care of her and I live with my son. He gets 2 days off from work every week and will spend them with me. My son really likes him (they are both hard core gamers) and my daughter is happy that I'm happy and it's all good. I can't wait to tell my big sister and my friends. They will be astonished. Mike just had to grow up some and mature and deal with some life issues and he's so mature now! We had such a good visit yesterday, we talked for 17 hours! Then we fell asleep and he left to go home at 1:30 this afternoon. The visit was wonderful. I am superbly content and I feel my inner peace even more now. In my little corner of the world, all is right and good. Mike is an honorable man, he is my "no matter what", and he finally realized I am his. I'm still a little cautious, I want to take it slow and I want us to get to know each other again. But we just "fit". We finish each other's sentences, say the same things at the same time, we like many of the same things, he has no problems with my kids and knows they come first, just as I know his grandma comes first. Which is as it should be. =)

I just had to share my happiness with my online friends. I hope you all have a good weekend. Stay safe. xoxo

Aug. 15, 2007 - Wo0t!

DUNE

I added Kevin J. Anderson (co-author with Brian Herbert of the newer Dune books) to my myspace and he messaged me. I wrote him back and told him how much I enjoy the books (I have 14 now) and he asked if I'd write a review at amazon.com reviews. I wrote of course I would. :P I also can't wait for the last book in the Inheritance Trilogy by Christopher Paolini, and the last book in the Harry Potter series, HP & and the Deadly Hallows. I got to see the film HP & the Order of the Phoenix at the theater with my friends. It followed the book well, but I miss the funny, mischievious life at Hogwarts. The books are getting darker and I read that one of the major characters gets killed off in Harry's final year at Hogwarts. It's something to ponder and look forward to reading. I did cry when Snape killed Dumbledore in The Half-Blood Prince. Ratbastard. I was flummoxed, I had no idea that would happen. Snape has been ambiguous in the films, but now I know he still serves Voldemort. The plot thickens...

Aug. 11, 2007 - new layout & this n that

Greetings! I thought I'd brighten up my page with a new layout, it's been dark for a while as are some of my other sites. I think I'm going to take down 2 of my plugboard sites. 40 sites is just so much maintanence and I get tired of deleting porn links from my family sites along with spam postings. It's my fault, if I didn't make sites about almost everything I love I wouldn't have to spend so much time on them.

I am devouring my new books. I read Eragon & Eldest twice and now I'm on The Butlerian Jihad in the Dune series for the second time. I read so fast I can easily read a book a day. In a way it's a bummer because I never seem to have enough books to read. I belong to the Science Fiction Book Club and I just ordered Sandworms of Dune, it should be here next week and I'll be ready for it. heh Soon it will time to read LOTR again, I'm going to be one of those geeks who read it every year. Ah well, there are worse habits to have, right?

My pc is still being wonky at times but you'll have that. I'm on the internet whenever I can be and it's all good. Love to my beloved sis Debbie. *mwah* Have a good week my friends. xoxo

Aug. 5, 2007 - It's been a rough week

I am very sad. A close friend of Emma's had a 13 month old daughter killed July 27. She was run over by a family member in their driveway. Can you imagine? My heart is bleeding for the family, especially the one who will face terrible guilt for running her over. You just never know when death will come. Hug your kids today and tell them you love them.

Here is a book I am getting and I think every parent with a pc (especially if it's in their child's room out of sight) should read this book.

Hansen's new book takes readers beyond the Predator broadcasts

BOOK EXCERPT By Chris Hansen

(Chris Hansen is the Dateline's correspondent for the "To Catch a Predator" series. Since the Dateline reports have aired, the show has exposed over 200 hundred potential child predators in its stings. His book, released March 15, takes you beyond the broadcast into a shadowy world.)

“'Jennifer Ash', a voluptuous looking brunette who claimed she was 21, described herself this way in her MySpace profile. 'Born in the DC area, lived in LA for the last 10 years, and looking to make some friends. I have a boyfriend so I’m not looking for anything with any guys. SORRY GUYS!'

She said she wanted to meet nice girls in the Fairfax area. 'Anyone that would like to go eat some sushi, go catch a movie…' Sounds simple enough, right? …Marisa, a 13 year old girl, had no way of knowing that Joey (a predator) and Jen were one and the same."
Read more and educate yourself and your kids. We must protect our children!

Be safe kittens. xoxo
