| Bath and Body Care - Enjoy Spa Results at Home...For Pennies! There's nothing quite like a relaxing day at the spa to leave you feeling revamped and rejuvenated from head to toe.
Of course, all that relaxation can quickly go down the drain when you see the price tag on some spa treatments. A basic European facial is $70 and up. A cellulite treatment can be $95 or more. A mineral bath starts at $150. Sure, these prices vary with the spa you select, but you get the idea...an afternoon of pleasure can be a bit pricey!
Maybe you aren't in the position to fork out big bucks to chill out at a high-end spa. You're still entitled to the best of what's around. Here are some of the most popular and effective spa treatments at a fraction of the cost...not to mention the privacy and convenience of doing so in your own home. Treat yourself on a regular basis. You deserve it and you won't walk away worrying about how much money you spent.
1. Blemish-busting mask: Mix one half teaspoon turmeric with just enough water to form a paste. Apply to blemishes and leave overnight.
2. Chocolate body wrap: Here's a treatment that costs $175 a day at a spa. Mix a quarter cup of honey with three quarters cup of cocoa powder. Heat the mixture in the microwave until warm, but comfortable. Apply all over the body and rinse off in the shower after 20 minutes.
3. Orange peel: This peel will restore skin tone. Combine one peeled, chopped orange with two tablespoons coarse sea salt. Massage mixture over dry skin and let sit for five minutes. Rinse well.
4. Tomato treatment: Crush a peeled tomato and spread over your face. Tomatoes contain acids that balance the skin's pH levels and tighten pores.
5. Cellulite paste: Blend a half cup of coffee beans with a half cup of salt, a teaspoon of kelp and four tablespoons of olive oil until it creates a paste. Apply the mixture over the dimpled skin and gently rub in circular motion with hands or loofah. Rinse well, and then vigorously pat dry.
