Dec. 26, 2004--"You young rascals! A merry hunt you've led us on and now we find you...feasting...and smoking!"

Wo0t! I got a dvd player and the LOTR Return Of The King Extended Edition for Christmas! I've watched it twice so far and the EE is amazing. I love the little details that flesh out the story. The mouth of Sauron made me giggle though. Creepy.
Billy & Dom are so funny in the interviews. I started watching the EE with the cast commentary on this morning but I fell asleep! I'll watch it again in a bit. Viggo looks postively edible in the interviews. I wanted him under my tree as Aragorn for Christmas, but no go. Ah well. Hope everyone had a lovely xmas, I sure did!

Dec. 13, 2004--Happy 28th birthday Bobbie Jo!

Hello kittens! How are you? It's a winter wonderland outside my apt, the houses are lit up and there is snow everywhere. It looks like a picture postcard. ^_^

I'm learning elvish! Specifically Sindarin & Quenya. At my One Ring to rule them all site I'm compiling a list of elvish phrases and words. I am fascinated with the languages in LOTR. It's tough without a dialog coach, I only have the movies to go on for the sound of the words. Maybe someone at The Fellowship of the Obsessors Forum has an interest in languages too, I'll have to check. Right now, I speak english, spanish and use American Sign Language. (ASL, I have many deaf friends.) Learning elvish phrases is not the same thing, I'd need to learn syntax and conjugations. But it's something to do as I love research.

Are you ready for Christmas?! I sure am. I've been ready! lol Pluggage for Keith for posting Johnny Mathis Christmas music for me! *happy sigh*

I <3 Johnny Mathis!

Have a great week kittens, I'll be around puttering on my sites. TTYL!

Dec. 11, 2004--very merry

Greetings all! It snowed today! Not much but some. This year I will enjoy it as I have no car to scrape everytime I want to go some place. :P I hope you are all having a good time getting ready for Christmas. I'm ready. ^_^ This is my fav time of year.

Would you believe we have another continuance? Why am I not surprised? Now the trial is pushed back to Feb.23. Jeremy will be relieved, but eep. How accurate are people's recollections going to be after almost a year. This too shall pass...

I realize I hardly blog anymore, I'm sorry. I have 15 sites now to maintain/promote/update, so I'm never here. I even have a site not linked anywhere because it's for a women's group and we're supposed to remain anonymous. (We do nice things for each other.) Thus, the site is under a different name. Ah well, it's all good. I love creating. My Christmas site is up to 19 pages and I'm sure I'll add more before the holiday is over.

Dec. 02, 2004--so much for being back...

Oh merciful heavens! I had a major misunderstanding with my cable company last month. I asked them to take off all the movie channels and deluxe cable to save some money, so they turned it all off! grr I got it back on yesterday after they tried to sweet talk me into keeping everything and paying $120 a month. Jeremy is paying off his bail and we are tight for money right now. It's not that hard to understand...geez.

We got another continuance as one of the attorneys is now out of the country for the month. The pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Dec.27. I'm just glad Jeremy's home, these delays are frustrating, but unfortunately normal. No wonder some people don't go to trial for a year or more. >_<

On a lighter note, we spent Thanksgiving with friends and family and it was very nice. The food was delicious and the pies melted in our mouths. Yummy. We will be spending Christmas with the Puppy Couple. I love Christmas time. It brightens up the otherwise dreariness of winter and makes me remember my father. Ever see the movie "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"? That was our house! My dad went all out and we always had the prettiest house on the block. Ah, nostalgia. *happy sigh*

I will be sending out Christmas cards to my cyber-pals shortly, I'm going to the store tomorrow courtesy of my friend Sheila. As you can see, I've decorated here and on some of my other sites. It's so much fun! *hums a Christmas carol*

Tomorrow I shall visit my pal's sites, I've been gone for 13 days! Eep! Have a good Thursday kittens, I'll be around. For real this time. :P

Nov. 17, 2004--I'm back!

Greetings kittens! I'm finally able to upload/update again! It only took 2 weeks. grrr I was ready to cancel my hosting and start over, but we finally got my ftp straightened out so here I am. I made a new site while I was away, it's here if you are a fan of the LOTR movies. I sure am!

One Ring to rule them all

Speaking of which, my dvd player died. I'm mad cuz it was only 2 years old! I did use it everyday but doesn't everybody? It screwed up my 2nd LOTR disk, so now I have to replace them next month. I'm using Jeremy's PS2 (when he isn't, which isn't very often! lol) to watch my movies but I miss having my own player in my room. I'm so spoiled!

Well, I've got stuff to do and people to visit so I'm outta here. Have a safe night kittens! xoxoxox

Nov. 4, 2004--ho hum

Greetings kittens! Hope everyone is doing well. Saturday is Jeremy's 21st birthday! Gad! I'm old! lol I'm so glad he is going to be home for his birthday. I was terrified he wouldn't be. We had a pre-trial hearing scheduled for yesterday but it was canceled (another continuance) because the lawyer is on sick leave for this whole month. I really hope all these delays are as much a pain for Amber as they are for us. Maybe she thought this would be over quickly. NOT. I'm trying so hard not to hate the girl, but it's difficult. No one has ever turned our world upside down like she has. Grrr. I'm just grateful Jeremy is home where he belongs. He's going to a party with his friends soon, it's only the second time he's gone anywhere since Oct.4th, when he came home. He's young, he needs to get out, not just hang with old mom. lol I wish someone would hire him, but nobody will because he is deaf. *sigh*

The deaf online are all abuzz because Bush got re-ellected. They are saying he's going to cut the funding for closed captioning for the deaf!! Is this true!? Why??? I don't think there is enough CC as it is! Many hearing people I talk to think everything on tv is closed captioned, but it's not. Many of Jeremy's favorite shows have no CC. Why would Bush cut the funding? The deaf can't help the fact they can't hear! Arg, I get so frustrated. I told him the deaf need to protest this. I'm firing off emails to all the legislatures in hope somebody who matters in government will fight this. It's just not fair!

Ok, I'm off my soapbox. lol Have a great night kittens and stay safe! xoxoxo
