Helen Trevillion

Hi. My real name is Helen Trevillion.
I'm 21 (which is sort of vaguely scary, actually!) and I'm currently at the end of my second year of study at the University of Hertfordshire, working towards a BSc in Music, Commercial Composition and Technology. Music is my ongoing romance... ;) I play piano and violin and also try to sing - my voice is far from perfect and I'm too shy to sing in front of people, but I really love singing. :) Hmm, and I'm not actually sure if composing music is something I want to do for a living, but maybe I'd like to get into film-scoring. Or maybe become a music therapist... but I'm not sure yet. (I mean, I don't really want to be a grown-up at all but that's life.)

Some musical people I really admire (and hope to actually learn from someday..) are Howard Shore, Yoko Kanno, James Horner, Hans Zimmer, Stewart Copeland, Vanessa Carlton, Imogen Heap, Ludovico Einaudi, Yasunori Mitsuda, Kajiura Yuki, Jewel, Sarah McLachlan and many many more... including countless other musicians on the net, some of whom I've been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to collaborate with in the past! *waves to those people*

Some things that I like, love and adore:

Films and TV - The Fifth Element, Amlie, Escaflowne, Rose of Verailles, Disney films, Ally McBeal and Black Books.

Books - Prospero's Children by Jan Siegel, The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle, The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander and those cooool books of drawings by Edward Monkton.

General Miscellaneous Stuff - sunshine, toast and honey, writing long letters, cardmaking, ballet (but I'm only a beginner... not very good yet, ehee... still loads of fun though!), butterflies, faeries, Greek Tragedy (Euripides!!), Atlantis, castles, board games, Final Fantasy (nostalgia, mostly... yes yes, I admit, I can be quite the fangirl at times :P), woodlands, picnics :D, stargazing, camping, baking cakes and cookies and crumbles and stuff, and eating cereal at unconventional times of day. Mmmmm. I like all things that make me laugh (which is quite a lot of things, really... oh dear.) And sleep is really nice too. Obviously. Yes.
