May 29, 2007 - mp3s

Woot! I got a CODY Digital Music Player today and I love it. My D: drive doesn't work and I have no burner so I haven't been able to copy music so I could listen to it off the pc. This mp3 player has 128mb built in memory and it's so small and sharp looking. The headphones won't fit in my ears though, I had to use my old pair which is fine. Jeremy was giggling cuz he says I must have small ears as the headphones fit in his ears perfectly. Oh well. It works and I'm listening to Helen Trevillion mp3's off my pc at last!

Doesn't take much to make me happy.

May 27, 2007 - NEWS!!!

Oh My God. My oldest daughter ©Bobbie has endometriosis and she just had surgery a few months back and they told her she wouldn't be able to have children. Well, I just got some wonderful news. She went to the doctor cuz she wasn't feeling well and... she's 5 weeks pregnant!!! She's calling this her "miracle baby" and I am positively stunned. She has to be very careful as she could miscarry, but I might finally become a grandma. She lives in San Diego and has 2 years left on her enlistment in the Navy so I don't know how I could afford to go to Calif, but isn't this stunning news? I'm so tickled I don't know what to do with myself. :P

What a month! Jeremy totaled his truck, Emma found me after 4 years, my sis Debbie found me after 25 years, I found out I have 2 more nieces, I am a great aunt to my sister's 5 grandkids, and my daughter is pregnant. Whew! I need to let it all sink in, lol I'm still in shock. :P

New layouts here and at heart-stricken.net. I hope you all have a good week. Be safe kittens.

May 25, 2007 - good things can happen

Hello. I just spent 3 glorious days at Emma's in the country and I am refreshed and rejuvenated. Then I come home to the same old mess. *sigh*

I have wonderful news. My adopted sister ©Debbie whom I have not seen in 25 years found me through my myspace page. I got a message from her and you could've knocked me over with a feather. (The 3 of us; Debbie, me, and Joey were all adopted from different families by my parents.) I messaged her back and then we talked on the phone for 64 minutes Friday. She lives in Calif. where we were all born. It was wonderful to hear her voice. I have 2 ©nieces I've never met and didn't even know existed! They are 18 and 15. We missed a lot of each other's lives, we can't get those lost years back, but from now on we will be in each other's lives. I never want to lose touch with my big sister again!
So then guess what? She bought and mailed me a Verizon inpulse phone so we can talk for free from 9:01pm to 5:59am her time. Wasn't that sweet? I cried when I opened it yesterday. She mailed it in this bright red envelope with Mickey and Pluto on it which of course, I am now going to keep forever. :P I have to use a land line to activate it, so I'm going over to my daughter's soon and I'll use her phone. My sis also got me $25 worth of minutes. She says she's missed her little sister. Awwwwwwwwwwwww. *heart melts* I'm 48 and she's 53. I'm so glad she found me!! ©©

I hope you all have a good weekend. Be safe kittens.

Captain Jack Sparrow, if you please, sir.

May 15, 2007 - relaxation at last?

What a week and a half. Court went great, the judge was the nicest judge I've ever dealt with. Youngstown judges could learn something form him. Anyway, everything else has been screwy, but life has settled down again and my pc is working so here I am.

I've spending time with an old dear friend whom I've known for 10 years. When I met Emma she was 15. Now she will be 25, is married and has a beautiful baby girl! She and her husband just bought a house and she's been telling me her plans for the house and we've been catching up. We were out of touch for 4 years, then she looked for and found Paulina's Playground, signed the guestbook, we emailed each other and now my beloved Emma is back in my life. =) She is such a good sweet person, to me she is everything pure and good in this world. If only we could all be like her.

I hope you all have a good week. Be safe kittens.

May 03, 2007 - oy freaking vey!

Well this month got off to one hell of a start. Tuesday Jeremy totaled his truck. Jeremy's brake line broke at a stoplight, he was unable to stop and hit a big truck in front of him. No one was hurt and the other truck was barely damaged, but Jeremy's frontend is crushed and the frame is severely bent. He got a ticket for assured clear distance and we have to be in court this morning at 8:30. So naturally I can't sleep. I wasn't with him, I was with my friends and just happened to drive by, saw the cop car and then his truck. We stopped and got out and I told the officer who I was and then asked what happened and if anyone was hurt. This big bald burly cop turned to me and said "This is your son? Why won't he talk to me?" I told him he was deaf and then began interpeting. Jeremy was petrified. He thought he was going back to jail and started removing his rings and wallet to give to me, so I explained that traffic court was different, calm down. I had to pay to have his truck towed home, then my friends drove me to the police station. I went in the office and I started to pull up a chair to the cop's desk when he snapped at me "What are you doing?" I stopped and said "Don't you want me to interpet for him or do you just want to write everything down?" He snapped "Interpet? What?" I said "He's deaf, he needs an interpeter." The cop then said "Oh." The woman cop said "It's okay, go ahead." so I pulled up the chair and interpeted. Why are some cops so hostile and some so nice? Is it the good cop/bad cop scenario or what? After all the paperwork was done, we walked home.

I never got to pay my bills and Jeremy never got to cash his SSI check. We were online for hours trying to find his friend who was staying with us a ride to his new home as Jeremy was supposed to take him that day. The girl who came to get him got lost and didn't get to my house until 3 am. I had to stay up as neither of the boys can hear the doorbell, but we finally were able to go to sleep around 4 am. Then we got up to go see his probation officer at 11 and since he had an accident, they gave him a urine test but he passed as he's not stupid enough to drink and violate his probation. Thank God. I then spent my day on the phone and online trying to find a ride to court. We finally got one at around 9 last night. I'm hoping that after court she can take us to cash Jeremy's check so he can give me his half of the bills and I can pay them. I pride myself on never making late payments (I hate paying late fees), but this month everything will be mailed late. Oh well.

I am exhausted. I'm going to go lay down and rest even if I can't sleep as I have to interpet for Jeremy in court and I want to be sharp minded. Everything should settle down after that and then I'm spending a quiet weekend at home. Yeesh. Jeremy said he is too.

I hope you all have a good weekend. Drive safely and be careful. xoxo
