4-30-05 "In fact, it has been remarked by some that Hobbit's only real passion is for food." I added some Hobbit Recipes to the HOH clique. If you love Hobbits, please join! :P |
4-28-05 "From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadow shall spring. Renewed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king." I'm so excited! I just ordered Aragorn's Banner 'This large blue flag features the legendary White Tree of Gondor, with the royal Crown overhead, and the Seven Stars of Gondor.' It's 24" x 73" and will look glorious in my room. :P It's from Mystic Caravan ![]() I also got these 2 posters from allposters.com

4-26-05 "Precious? It's been called that before, but not by you." Well, I decided to make a week long marathon out of LOTR. heh I just ordered and paid for my own copy of the FOTR EE!! I am so jazzed! I've got copies of the first 2 EEs now which I'm renting from Netflix, but after seeing them, I must have my own. It's a moral imperative! :P Since I already have ROTK EE, I will just need TTT EE and I will be one happy little hobbit! Wo0t! These extended editions have recaptured the magic of LOTR for me. Once again I am swept away to Moria and Edoras and Minas Tirith. I hear the Quenya and Sindarin and Black Speech tongues and I feel a drawing to and kinship with the mysticism of the Elves. I see the green of the Shire and I am at once deeply homesick. Yes halflings, the magic has been refreshed for me. I understand the characters and their situations much better now with the added scenes. I will have the full-screened versions as I can't stand wide-screen format. I did not buy a large tv, Mr Movie Makers, to have you cut my picture in half, thank you very much. "But you, my daughter, you will linger on in darkness and in doubt. As night falling until it comes without a star. Here you will dwell, bound to your grief under the fading trees. Until all the world is changed and the longs years of your life are utterly spent." I can relate to that state of mind. Ah, love lost but never forgotten...Lord Kieben. |
4-23-05 "For the time will soon come when Hobbits will shape the fortunes of all." Happy spring! I'm so excited! I have all 3 Extended Editions of the films and I'm having a LOTR marathon this weekend! I love the added scenes in FOTR. They add so much more detail, especially the 'gifts from Galadriel to the Fellowship' scenes. I've watched the FOTR EE twice and watched disk 1 of TTT EE. Tomorrow I plan on watching all 3 EEs back to back. I can do it. :P Westu hįl halflings! |
4-12-05 "Sure I know a Baggins! Frodo Baggins! He's over there. He's my second cousin once removed on his mother's side and..." Westu hįl halflings! I'm back to watching the LOTR films endlessly, I was distracted for a week watching Labyrinth and drooling over David Bowie. :P Alas, it's a rental so it had to go back yesterday. I keep checking the library but the LOTR books are always checked out! I put them on reserve but there is even a list for that. heh At least the people in my new town have good taste. :P I added a few links and found a new forum, so go see. "Cold be heart and hand and bone, cold be travelers far from home. They do not see what lies ahead, when sun has failed and moon is dead." |
