They fight a successful battle with orcs and the great cave troll, eventually reaching the Bridge of Khazad-dûm. Gandalf challenges the Balrog, yet both fall from the Bridge and slide into the abyss. The stunned Company is rallied by Aragorn and flees through the Great Gates into the sunlight of Dimrill Dale. They journey on to reach the Nimrodel late at night. Greetings! 1-11-05I think I'm getting the hang of this!" I've been playing with Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for hours and I can't believe the graphics I made. I saved the style, so I think I'm going to redo every single title graphic so they all look like that. I finally got the look I could see in my mind's eye. I can't always do that, I'm graphically challenged when it comes to understanding these complex graphic programs. I finally made something I first envisioned in my head, with just a slight alteration of the original color. *happy sigh* Doesn't take much to make me happy. Nope. 1-9-05--"Look for my coming at first light on the fifth day. At dawn, look to the east." Another Sunday night. I've been watching the films faithfully and I've made some observations. It seems as if the elves are like guardian angels or something. They are ethreal, elegant, and show up when all seems lost. When Galadriel helps Frodo up in ROTK after his encounter with Shelob, I wonder if she then saw Shelob capture him and thought "Oh no! It's okay, Sam is coming!" or some such. I also noticed in TTT when Gandalf and Aragorn are going into the stable to get Shadowfax to find Eomer and the Rohirram, Gandalf says "They flee to the mountains when they should stand and fight!" Then Gandalf's mouth doesn't move when he's saying "Who will defend them if not their king?" I also noticed some continuity glitches, but you'll have that I guess when you're filming 3 films at once and must meet a deadline. Don't get me wrong, the mistakes somehow make the films more endearing and I love them all. I just hope Peter Jackson does manage to make The Hobbit into a film. I actually left this site alone for almost 2 days, but then I noticed ads were appearing after I added the Saybox and the Bravenet Poll. Not acceptable after all. I'm still tweaking the html on the main index page, I'm fine-tuning it, polishing it up a bit. I added a poll, affiliates, beloved and so forth and a new music track. It's the ROTK Trailer music and I love it. I have lots of LOTR music now on my pc, I wish I could put it on some of the pages here but it would kill my bandwidth. lol But I listen to nothing but Howard Shore's LOTR music when I'm working on this site and/or one of the LOTR movies is playing on the tv. 12-30-04--"Whatever you did, you've been officially labled a disturber of the peace." If you came in from the entrance page, you will see I did some major modifications to the layout. All the LOTR sites I really like use 2 or more tables, so I thought "Why not?" It seems much busier now and it doesn't have the same calm feel to it, but oh well. I might change the music or just remove it. I love the new forum I joined - The White Shores. The webmaster is nice and there are some interesting people there. Wow, tomorrow is the last day of 2004! I hope next year is better. 2004 got rather wacky towards the end. I'm not sad to see it's passing.
